What Better Time than Now

I’m thrilled to finally get the ball rolling on this blog.

For the next couple months I’ve decided to focus “Benis Food” on the music scene in NE Ohio.  I’ll be keeping you updated on concert news, album reviews, artists profiles, and anything else I find relevant to the Akron, OH music community. Now, that’s not to say there won’t be the occasional post regarding out-of-state news, but for the most part, I’m keeping it local.  I’m a big fan of the jam band genre so there will be a lot of posts about artists who share that style of music.

If you aren’t familiar with “jam bands” I look forward to sharing my knowledge about the music, culture, and what’s happenin’ in the scene today.  You never know, you may find a new favorite band, or, maybe it’ll convince you to go out on the town one night and check out some artists. Give ’em a try, here’s a couple different sounds: Phish, Widespread Panic, String Cheese Incident, Furthur, Primus.
